Dreadzone, formed from former members of Big Audio Dynamite, championed by John Peel and with such former backing singers as Denise Van Outen and Alison Goldfrapp, this band has been doing the rounds since they first formed in 1993, when ex-Big Audio Dynamite drummer, Greg Roberts, teamed up with Tim Bran, who had previously worked as a musician and sound engineer for Julian Cope. The name Dreadzone was suggested to Roberts and Bran by Don Letts.
Dreadzone has been a firm festival favourite throughout the years, having played the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 1994, as well as recording six John Peel Sessions from 1993 to 2001. In between a packed touring schedule in 2009 the band recorded their sixth studio album 'Eye on the Horizon' which is due out on the 26th of April 2010.
