Uprizing Roots bring you an area of irie vibes and buzzing beats, hosted by Uprizing's roots warriors, Trishna-I, Jimmy Steppa & Jah Pickle.
With chilled beats and psychadelic chill-out styles by day, this will be a bubbly and lovely area to hang out, with comfy cushions, bouncy sofas, healing, Indian head massage, an edifying spiritual bookshop, henna, face-painting, UV painting and more! Good vibes all the way!
And come night time (once the kids are in bed!), we clear out the sofas and make room for a roots dance, with the tent transforming into a militant roots reggae tent, with live singers and instrumentalists blessing up the mic, fresh dubplate & basswise dread selections, and reggae sounds representing from all over!
Fully decor-ed up inna cultural oneness style, with conscious visuals from Greg (Evil Housewife) running day and night, this area is sure to bring a family-friendly, unity vibe to Fordfest, we look forward to seeing you there!

Reggae is message music, so open up your hearts and minds to conscious lyrics, spiritualizing melodies, hypnotic and melodious sax players, melodica players and other instrumentalists, truly bringing the music ALIVE, and of course, the heaviest of heavy basslines: Word, Sound is Power!
